Ever my loveEver My Love by Lynn Kurland (2017)

After finishing all 11 books that are currently out from Kurland’s fantasy series on the Nine Kingdoms, I was curious about her other series. This is the 14th book in the time travelling romance series but I didn’t suffer for not having read the previous installments. Not usually a romance reader, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. A strong heroine who’s running to her independence and a tall, handsome fellow who happens to travel to ancient Scotland every other day were the stars of a thrilling, lovely story. The language and turn of phrase was familiar without feeling like I was reading the same series. I love Kurland’s brand of romance – subtle, sweet and deep.

As I said above, I breathlessly worked my way through 11 amazing fantasy romance stories – four interconnected trilogies that I loved each for different reasons. I cannot wait for the final book of the fourth trilogy to come out! I’ll share a post about this series soon!

9780749957117Storm’s Heart by Thea Harrison (2011)

This is the second book in the Elder Races series. I had zoomed through the first book a few weeks earlier. Harrison writes urban fantasy/romance in a merciless manner – the plot is thrilling, the characters complex and the romance hot (but only in the context of deep love and respect). Niniane is about to take over the dark fae throne when multiple attempts are made on her life, giant, ancient war god Tiago saves her thoroughly and loses his heart to her just as completely.

I was super happy to be given the opportunity to read this brand new book in exchange for an honest review. Here’s why, I love yoga and meditation- they are one of my favourite ways to manage the pain and fatigue associated with Fibromyalgia. Kuran takes us through the Eastern and Western thinking around chronic illness and provides lots of easily enacted tips to try around sleep, meditation, diet, yoga and more.
